Added this week is Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife (MacAdam/Cage), which has been on bestseller lists for a couple three weeks now, but which, despite the title, sounded too much like a literary or romance novel with only incidental fantastic elements for reference here; but the prominent inclusion of the book on Faren Miller's review list for the December issue of Locus Magazine, as well as trade and reader reviews (though the latter are mixed) on the Amazon site, have persuaded us to track it here. It's on 3 lists this week.
Brian Jacques' latest Redwall novel, Loamhedge (Philomel), debuts on three lists this week. Christopher Paolini's Eragon ranks #1 on Publishers Weekly's children's list for October. Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver debuts on the Washington Post list at #2 this week, to rank on 7 lists altogether.
The paperback of Cornelia Funke's The Thief Lord is placing on lists, as is the paperback reprint of Anne Rice's Blackwood Farm (three lists), a new Star Wars novel by Greg Keyes (four lists), and a Star Trek novel by Peter David (one list).
