2004 Locus Poll & Survey

Note: be sure you are accessing this page through our secure server: https://secure.locusmag.com/2004/Issues/02PollAndSurvey.html.

Here is the online version of the 34th annual Locus Awards ballot, covering works that appeared in 2003. You may vote for up to five works in each category. In each position, either make a selection from the drop-down list OR enter a write-in candidate in the blank box at the right. Do not vote for the same work more than once, except Best First Novels may also be listed in Best Novel categories (use write-in boxes to do so). Feel free to leave some categories blank or partially blank.

The drop-down selections are based on Locus's 2003 Recommended Reading List [this link will open a new window], which gives full titles and publication credits. Additional drop-down selections, for magazine, editor, artist, and publisher categories, are based on last year's results with additional current candidates added. However, you are welcome to vote for anything (the drop-down options just make our counting task easier). Note that the Hugo and Nebula awards have somewhat different eligibility requirements; Locus Awards are open to publications or work that first appeared, anywhere in the world, during calendar year 2003. If you are voting for items not on our Recommended Reading List, please give both author and title as well as place of appearance.

Please attempt to fill out both the poll and survey; a free issue of Locus will be given for a filled-out ballot to subscribers of record when we count them in May, so please use the exact name on your subscription and your subscription number. Deadline for ballots is May 1, 2004.

If you prefer, you may print this page, fill it in by hand, and mail it to Locus Publications, PO Box 13305, Oakland CA 94661.

Anonymous ballots will not be counted. Please include your name and e-mail address with your submission.
