• First anniversary issue of a perfect-bound magazine of dark fantasy. According to William Jones' editorial, the magazine is now distributed by Ingrahm and can be found at over 200 retailors.
• This issue has fiction by James S. Dorr, C. J. Henderson, Bill Skaar & William Jones, Stanley C. Sargent, Harrison Howe, Greg Beatty, Christopher Fulbright, Leila Eadie, Ron Shiflet, and Wendy Leeds. There's also poetry by Corrine De Winter, Anne K. Schwader, and others.
• Departments include an editorial, letters, details of a Dark Wisdom flash fiction contest, an article about planetary body Sedna, and reviews of books, movies, and games.

• Third issue of small press "little zine with teeth", edited and published by Heather Shaw and [Locus Magazine associate editor] Tim Pratt.
• Fictional Contents are by Benjamin Rosenbaum, Gerald Costlow, K. Bird Lincoln, Mikal Trimm, Deborah Layne, Simon Owens, Jay Lake, and Elizabeth Bear. Poetical Contents are all by Sonya Taaffe.
• 'Actual' Contents -- nonfiction pieces -- are editorial "Two by Two", a column by Nick Mamatas about why all Star Wars fans need to be killed, a page of comics reviews by Erin Donahoe, a half page of "Automatic Writing", and reviews by the editors. • The Lord of the Rings cover photo represents Resa Nelson's Movies column this issue, which discusses a touring museum exhibition about the film trilogy's special effects, costumes, and make-up, though unfortunately the exhibition's one US appearance, in Boston, ended October 24.
• Stories in this issue are by Cherith Baldry, Leah Bobet, Sara Prineas, Catlin Matthews, Joe Murphy, and Laura Anne Gilman.
