Play by Martha Soukup

Martha Soukup, Nebula award winner and multiple Hugo and World Fantasy award nominee, is now writing for the stage. Her first full length play, "Manumission" tells the story of a man so outraged by the liberties that the body politic has taken in his name that he has himself legally "not a person." No longer can wars be waged in his name, unjust laws be passed for his benefit, or any imposition be placed on him for others or for others for him. "Being in the world, but not part of it" turns out to be more of a challenge than expected however.

Manumission is being produced by Cassandra's Call Productions at the Exit Theatre, Oct 6-29th, 2005 More information can be found at http://www.cassandrascall.com and at 510.645.1223.
