The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman stayed in first place on the hardcover list for the third month in a row, while A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin moved up to second place. The new runner-up was Heaven’s Fall by Michael Cassutt & David Goyer (Ace) out of 44 titles nominated, down from 46 last month.

Kim Stanley Robinson’s 2312 tied for first with Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, and Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews debuted in second. The runner-up was Kitty in the Underworld by Carrie Vaughn (Tor) with 44 titles nominated, down from last month’s 50.

On the trade paperback list, World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks stayed in first place this month. The new runner-up was Cast in Sorrow by Michelle Sagara (Luna), with 42 titles nominated, down from the 47 we saw last month.

Star Trek: From History’s Shadow by Dayton Ward took top honors among the media-related titles this month, and there was no new runner-up. There were 17 titles nominated, down from last month’s 19.

Forgotten Realms: The Companions: The Sundering by R.A. Salvatore debuted at number one in the gaming-related titles, with no runner-ups. There were 15 titles nominated, down from the 16 we saw last month.
