The Martian by Andy Weir debuted at first place on the hardcover list, and David Weber’s Like A Mighty Army took second. The new runner-up was John Ringo’s To Sail a Darkling Sea (Baen) out of 47 titles nominated, down from 54 last month.

Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs took the number one spot, with Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch appearing as number two on the mass-market list this month. The new runner-up was Robert Asprin’s Dragons Wild (Ace) out of 57 titles nominated, up from last month’s 56.

Jeff VanderMeer’s Annihilation pushed into first on the trade paperback list this month. There is no new runner up, with 33 titles nominated, down from the 41 we saw last month.

Star Trek Voyager: Protectors by Kirsten Beyer made its debut at number one among the media-related titles, and the new runner-up was The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor by Robert Kirkman & Jay Bonansinga (Dunne). There were 14 titles nominated, down quite a bit from 23 last month.

Forgotten Realms: The Companions by R.A. Salvatore placed at number one in the gaming-related titles, with no runners-up. There were 11 titles nominated, down from 19 last month.
