The City of Mirrors, the final book in Justin Cronin’s Passage tril­ogy, jumped from fourth place on last month’s hardcover list to first place, followed in second by Naomi Novik’s League of Dragons, the final book in her Temeraire series. The new runner-up was the elev­enth book in Taylor Anderson’s Destroyermen series, Destroyermen: Blood in the Water (Roc). There were 51 nominated titles, down from 56 last month.

On the paperback list, The End of All Things by John Scalzi, the final book in his Old Man’s War series, leapfrogged from the last month’s supplementary list all the way to first place. Patrick Rothfuss’s The Name of the Wind remained in second place. The Dinosaur Lords by Victor Milán (Tor) was the new runner-up. There were 70 nominated titles, up from 59 last month.

Neal Stephenson’s Seveneves remained in first place on the trade paperback list with almost a third more votes than second place finisher Uprooted by Naomi Novik. The new runner-up was Edge of Dark, the first book in Brenda Cooper’s The Glittering Edge series. There were 67 nominated titles, up from 53 last month.

In media-related and gaming-related books, Star Wars: Aftermath by Chuck Wendig decisively won the top spot with almost three times as many votes as second place finisher, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Force and Motion by Jeffrey Lang. There were no new runners-up. 28 titles were nominated, up from last month’s 20.
