All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

There are four prominent debuts this week, ranking most highly Karen Marie Moning's Dreamfever (Delacorte), fourth novel in her "Fever" series. It debuts on four print lists compiled here, as high as #3 on the New York Times and Publishers Weekly fiction hardcover lists.
Next is a new Star Wars novel by Troy Denning, Fate of the Jedi: Abyss (Lucasbooks), ranking #6 at PW, #7 at NYT, #8 at Washington Post
Then comes Terry Goodkind's The Law of Nines (Putnam), ranking #10 at NYT and PW.
Finally there is the new Terry Brooks, A Princess of Landover (Del Rey), debuting at #15 on the same two lists.
Meanwhile, Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife still ranks #1 position on four of the lists compiled here.
