All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

Anne Rice's Angel Time (Knopf), a supernatural fantasy aligned with Rice's recent religiously-inspired novels, is added to the chart this week; it debuted on New York Times' list last week, at #13, this week slipping to #22.
Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson's The Gathering Storm slips slightly on lists but remains in the top 10 on all five print lists compiled here.
This week's chart reinstates the Los Angeles Times bestseller list, which ran here for a while several years ago, replacing the now discontinued San Francisco Chronicle list.
Debuting in paperback this week is Sherrilyn Kenyon's Born of Fire (St. Martin's Paperbacks), second of three books in her "League" novels currently being reissued; it ranks #1 on this week's Publishers Weekly mass market paperback list. The first book in the series, Born of Night, has ranked for a few weeks now; the third, Born of Ice, will be reissued next month.
