All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

The one debut this week is paperback original Death's Mistress by Karen Chance (Onyx), second in her urban fantasy series about half-human, half-vampire Dorina Basarab. It debuts at #14 on New York Times' mass market paperback list, #15 on the same list at Publishers Weekly.
This page doesn't always compile every associational media title, but since Simon Beecroft & Jeremy Beckett's LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary (DK Publishing, Sept 2009) turned up on the latest Locus Magazine bestseller list, it's added this week here, where it ranks #38 today on Amazon Canada's list, remarkably, considering its current rank at #424 at Amazon.com and #1488 at Amazon UK.
Differences among the three Amazon lists are often striking. Stephenie Meyer titles, in paperback, continue to crowd the top ten Amazon UK titles, but not Amazon US or Ca. Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones is #3 today on Canada's list, but only #22 on the UK list and #45 on Amazon.com. Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife is as high as #18 in the UK, but only #43 in Canada and long gone on the US list.
