All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

Three debuts this week, of which the most significant is probably Peter Straub's A Dark Matter (Doubleday), ranking #17 on this week's New York Times fiction hardcover list.
Ranking so far only on two Amazon lists is Kim Harrison's Black Magic Sanction (Eos), eighth book in her Rachel Morgan series, ranking at #17 today on Amazon.com.
And Lisa McMann's YA Gone (Simon Pulse), third in her series following Wake and Fade, is #118 this week on USA Today's combined list.
Meanwhile, Laurell K. Hamilton's Flirt debuts on two more print lists this week. It still ranks as high as #5 on the fiction hardcover lists of New York Times and Publishers Weekly.
