All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

Among several notable debuts this week is Stephen King's Blockade Billy, a baseball novella published by Simon & Schuster and also in limited edition by Cemetery Dance. It debuts on four print lists this week, as high as #9 at New York Times and Publishers Weekly.
Other debuts include a Star Wars novel by Christie Golden, Fate of the Jedi: Allies (LucasBooks), which ranks #8 on the NYT and PW, though it will likely fade faster in coming weeks than the King title will.
Sherrilyn Kenyon's YA Infinity: Chronicles of Nick (St. Martin's Griffin), debuts at #3 on the NYT children's chapter book list. Keri Arthur's Moon Sworn (Dell), ninth in her Riley Jenson series, debuts on three lists, as high as #13.
Other debuts include paperback reprints of Cory Doctorow's Little Brother, Lev Grossman's The Magicians, and Laurell K. Hamilton's Skin Trade.
