All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

The debut of the week is the trade paperback reprint of Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Grand Central), ranking #14 on the New York Times trade paperback list, #15 on the same list at Publishers Weekly
Just as significantly, George R.R. Martin's rankings continue to rise, with the trade paperback of A Game of Thrones debuting this week on lists at Washington Post and Publishers Weekly.
And Jennifer Egan, fresh off wins for A Visit from the Goon Squad
with a Pulitzer Prize and a Los Angeles Times Book Prize, sees rankings for the trade paperback edition rise or debut on all five print lists compiled here, and for the hardcover squeak back onto the NYT list at #35.
