The most significant debut this week is Suzanne Brockmann’s Born to Darkness (Ballantine), first in a new military/paranormal romance series, ranking #12 on the New York Times fiction hardcover list, #11 on the same list at Publishers Weekly. Also debuting: Joyce Carol Oates’ Mudwoman, #31 on the NYT list.
