Strock Acquires Fantastic Books

Ian Randal Strock will take over as owner of the Fantastic Books imprint. The line was founded to publish original and reprint SF as part of Warren Lapine’s company Wilder Publications in 2009, and Strock has been publisher  since early 2010. Fantastic Books will become an imprint of Strock’s own Gray Rabbit Publications. Strock says the transfer of ownership will be “nearly invisible” and that he will “continue business as usual.”

Acquiring editors Douglas Cohen, Darrell Schweitzer, and David Truesdale will remain on staff, though the line is not currently open to submissions. The imprint’s first original novel, Little Brother’s World by T. Jackson King, is forthcoming later this month. For more details, see this post on Strock’s site SF Scope.
