Hammer Horror Comes to Random House UK

Legendary horror movie studio Hammer Films recently relaunched, and Arrow Books (a division of Random House UK) has announced a partnership with Hammer to publish novelizations of new and classic films, plus original novellas by authors “whose oeuvre does not necessarily encompass the horror genre” — including Jeanette Winterson.

Arrow publisher Kate Elton said, “With the current interest in all things supernatural, the time is absolutely right for a Hammer imprint which will publish both into the heart of the commercial horror market, and into the literary and thriller markets that border it.”

The first new Hammer film, Let Me In (a remake of Swedish film Låt den rätte komma in, based on the eponymous novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist) debuted this month.
