New Scientist Flash Fiction Contest

The deadline is approaching fast for the New Scientist Forgotten Futures 2010 flash fiction competition. Neil Gaiman will help judge the contest, selecting the winner from a shortlist chosen by New Scientist editors.

Story submissions, on the theme of “futures that never were”, should be a maximum of 350 words, including the title, and may not have been previously published. Entries must be submitted by November 19, 2010.

The winning entry will be printed in the year-end issue of New Scientist.
