2011 WSFA Small Press Award Finalists

The finalists for the 2011 Washington Science Fiction Association Small Press Award for Short Fiction have been announced:
- “After the Dragon”, Sarah Monette (Fantasy 1/10)
- “Amaryllis”, Carrie Vaughn (Lightspeed 6/10)
- “The Cassandra Project”, Jack McDevitt (Lightspeed 6/10)
- “The Days of Flaming Motorcycles”, Catherynne M. Valente (Dark Faith)
- “Enid and the Prince”, RJ Astruc (Worlds Next Door)
- “Lord Bai’s Discovery”, Jean Marie Ward (Dragon’s Lure)
The award, created to showcase small-press publishers by recognizing the “best original short fiction” published by small presses in the previous year, will be presented at Capclave 11, October 14-16, 2011, in Gaithersburg MD. The winner will be chosen by members of WSFA. This year’s Small Press Award Committee is: Colleen Cahill (Chair), Cathy Green, Paul Haggerty, Gayle Surrette, Michael Walsh, and Carolyn Frank (Administrator).
