Datlow to be Consulting Editor at Tor.com

Ellen Datlow is joining Tor.com as a consulting fiction editor. Datlow has many credits to her name, having edited fiction for Omni, The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, and The Best Horror of the Year, among others. Her awards include the Hugo, three Bram Stoker Awards and nine World Fantasy Awards.

Tor.com has been publishing short fiction online since 2008, and has had many stories listed as finalists for the Hugo and Nebula awards, including Charlie Jane Anders’ “Six Months, Three Days”, which won the Hugo earlier this year, and “Ponies”, by Kij Johnson, which won the Nebula in 2011. Other editors are Patrick Nielsen Hayden, who has been with the magazine from the beginning, Liz Gorinsky since 2010, and Ann VanderMeer, who joined the team earlier this year.
