Springer Wins Tomorrow Prize

Sci-Fest LA has announced the winners for its Tomorrow Prize for short science fiction by LA county high school students. Finalists had their stories read by celebrity guests during LitFest Pasadena.

Winners

  • First Place: “The Most Satisfying Sound”, Joseph Springer
  • Second Place: “The Dead Light”, Leslie Le
  • Third Place: “Another Reality”, Samuel Fischbach

Finalists

  • “A Helping Hand”, Jonathan Herbst
  • “EARTH II”, Richard Magdaluyo
  • “The Multiverse Theory”, Ekaterina Zhosan

The first place winner receives a $250 cash prize, second place receives $150, and third place receives $100. All finalists and honorable mentions receive a certificate of recognition and additional prizes donated by sponsors. For more information about the award, see Sci-Fest LA’s website.
