The 2013 World Fantasy Convention has announced writers Richard Matheson and his son Richard Christian Matheson as the first author guests of honour for the convention, to be held October 31 – November 3, 2013 in Brighton, England. For more information, see the World Fantasy 2013 website.

The TransAtlantic Fan Fund (TAFF) announced Jacqueline Monahan as this year’s winner of the TAFF race to send a North American fan to Europe. Monahan, who beat out Warren Buff and Kim Kofmel in a three-way race, will attend Eastercon, to be held in Heathrow, London, April 6-9, 2012.
