Kickstarter Update

From our archivist:

We’ve got exciting news!

We made the Kickstarter front page and were featured on their blog in a recent post. Those developments are entirely thanks to you.

The Locus team has been working hard behind the scenes to finally be able to announce: T-SHIRTS! We will be printing exclusive “backer”-only t-shirts with a cool, new Locus design to the lovely folks who’ve donated to this Kickstarter. We’re working with designers and artists to bring you the very best of Locus in t-shirt form: a little quirky, a little cool, and tastefully weird.

How can you get your t-shirt? It’s simple: we’ll be adding a new $60 tier to the donation scale. Everyone who has donated above $60 is already guaranteed a t-shirt. For those of you below $60, all you have to do to get your Locus Kickstarter t-shirt is change your donation. Donated $50? No sweat—just go the Locus Kickstarter page and hit the big blue button that reads MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE. From there, just pick the new $60 donation tier and you’re ready to go. Easy as pie.

Keep an eye out for our forthcoming t-shirt design reveal!

As always, thank you so much for your support. We can’t wait to share this incredible resource with you.

Pass it on!

I’m very old fashioned, or maybe just stuck-in-the-mud. If you had a more traditional method of donation available, say an address to send a check to, I might consider making a fifty dollar donation. Or even a PayPal link.

Or did I just miss the possibility in my over-quick read of the Kickstarter page?

Robert – You’re right, the Kickstarter page doesn’t have info on other ways to donate. But the Locus Science Fiction Foundation site does! ( You can donate through PayPal on the site, or find an address to mail a check, and you can earmark your donation specifically for the Ephemera project. Thanks so much!
