Work Has Already Begun

The Kickstarter effort doesn’t close until May, and we’ve not quite doubled our initial fund raising goal. But archivist Kate is already hard at work:
Hello from the Locus offices!
I’m thrilled to report that our scanner and some preliminary archival materials have arrived so I’ve finally been able to dig in to the archives. Though I’m still early in the A’s, I’ve already come across a gem I wanted to share with you.
This photograph is of the late Douglas Adams, taken by Charles Brown in 1982. I finished Adams’ folder yesterday, and while I was star-struck and wide-eyed at every photo and document I scanned, this photograph was by far my favorite. So many of the photographs we see of well-known authors are posed or press photographs. Here, Adams looks natural, at ease.
As always, thank you so much for your support. The power this community wields is awe-inspiring.
Pass it on!
Kate
