The Carl Brandon Society presents two awards: the Parallax Award, for "works of fiction created by a person of color", and the Kindred Award, for works of speculative fiction "dealing with issues of race and ethnicity". As of latest check, books of 2006 and 2007 are currently being considered for awards to be given in early 2009.
