Thrilling Mystery


Started as a horror magazine, it made a gradual shift to more conventional mysteries. It became a character pulp in September 1942 when the Green Ghost novels were shifted into it; we have cut off our coverage with the preceding issue. Publication continued as a non-horror title through vol 31 #2 in 1951. §§Title was changed to Thrilling Mystery Novel Magazine from Winter 1945 to May 1947. From Summer 1947 to Fall 1949 it was titled Detective Mystery Novel Magazine. §§The last five issues, Winter 1949 to Winter 1951, were titled 2 Detective Mystery Novels Magazine.
