The Atrocity Exhibition J. G. Ballard (Re/Search Publications 0-940642-18-2, Sep ’90, $14.99, 127pp, tp, cover by Phoebe Gloeckner); Revised classic avant-garde sf novel/collection. This edition contains four new chapters and annotations by Ballard, plus illustrations by Phoebe Gloeckner and photographs by Ana Barrado. The original version was published by Cape in 1970. A limited hardcover edition was announced but not seen.

Séraphita Honoré de Balzac (Dedalus 0-946626-53-7, Mar ’90, £4.95, 316pp, tp); Reprint (??? 1834) literary fantasy collection. This edition is translated by Clara Bell, has an introduction by David Blow, and is available in the US from Hippocrene Books.


Digital Dreams ed. David V. Barrett (NEL 0-450-53150-3, Oct ’90, £4.50, 347pp, pb); Original anthology of sf stories about computers, including brilliant pieces by Garry Kilworth and Terry Pratchett. Strongly recommended. (PSP)


The Rewolf of Oz Roger Baum (Green Tiger Press 0-88138-152-7, Sep ’90 [Dec ’90], $13.95, 32pp, hc, cover by Charlotte Hart) [Oz]; Short Oz children’s story by Baum’s grandson with full-color illustrations, definitely not in the style of John R. Neill.


Heads Greg Bear (Legend 0-7126-3538-6, Aug ’90, £25.00, 125pp, hc); Sf novella. This is a limited edition of 300 numbered copies, signed by the author.
