Cover and illustrations by Michael Whelan. For some reason, DAW has brought back the Akers name even though the later books are as by Dray Prescot. In either case, the actual author of these Burroughs pastiches is Ken Bulmer. All three reprints have covers by Michael Whelan with his name almost as big as that of the author.
