New translation by Dagmar Herrman. The previous English translation (Allen & Unwin 1933) appeared as Fairy Tales, with one extra as makeweight by Joseph Capek. Illustrations by Joseph Capek, who also wrote the tenth story, though he is not officially listed as co-author here. A hardcover (-0864-X, $24.95) was announced, but not seen.
