Edgeworks 3 Harlan Ellison (White Wolf 1-56504-962-4, Jun ’97 [May ’97], $21.99, 603pp, hc, cover by Jill Bauman); Omnibus of Ellison’s The Harlan Ellison Hornbook (1990) and Harlan Ellison’s Movie (1991), with a new introduction by Ellison. The two books and the new introduction are all paginated separately. Volume 3 of 20 in “The Collected Ellison”.


Edgeworks 4 Harlan Ellison (White Wolf 1-56504-963-2, Nov ’97, $21.99, 278pp, hc, cover by John K. Snyder, III); Omnibus of Ellison’s Love Ain’t Nothing But Sex Misspelled (Trident 1968; this has the introduction from the 1976 Pyramid edition) and The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World (Avon 1969; this has the Gaiman introduction from the 1994 Borderlands Press edition). Love drops three stories collected elsewhere in the “Edgeworks” series, and adds a story and a screenplay, neither previously collected. There is a new introduction by Ellison. Volume 4 of 20 in “The Collected Ellison”.


Slippage Harlan Ellison (Mark V. Ziesing 0-929480-75-9, Apr ’97 [Jun ’97], $75.00, 361pp, hc, cover by Jill Bauman); Collection of 25 items, most stories, all previously uncollected. One story is by Donald E. Westlake, accompanied by an essay and teleplay by Ellison. This is a slipcased, limited edition with a signed and numbered plate pasted in; four items are available only in this edition.


Slippage Harlan Ellison (Houghton Mifflin 0-395-35341-6, Sep ’97, $22.00, 303pp, hc); Reprint (Ziesing 1997) collection of 22 items, most stories, all previously uncollected. This lacks the story by Donald E. Westlake and related essay and teleplay by Ellison. This is the first trade edition.
