The Wonderful World of Oz L. Frank Baum (Penguin 0-14-118085-4, 1998 [Aug ’98], $13.95, 389pp, tp, cover by W. W. Denslow) [Oz]; Omnibus of three children’s fantasy novels about Oz: The Wizard of Oz (Hill 1900 as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz), The Emerald City of Oz (Reilly & Britton 1910), and Glinda of Oz (Reilly & Lee 1920). The first is illustrated by W.W. Denslow, the latter two illustrated by John R. Neill. Edited and with notes and introduction by Jack Zipes. This appears to be an international edition with US and UK prices.


Peter S. Beagle’s Immortal Unicorn Vol. 1 ed. Peter S. Beagle, Janet Berliner & Martin H. Greenberg (HarperPrism 0-06-105480-1, Dec ’98 [Nov ’98], $6.50, 398pp, pb, cover by Michael Sabanosh); Reprint (HarperPrism 1995) original anthology of 14 stories about unicorns, originally published as part of a single-volume edition of 27 stories. This has the preface by Berliner and foreword by Beagle. Greenberg is mentioned only on the copyright page. The “Vol. 1” is also only mentioned inside.

This is an instant remainder edition.
