This edition was scheduled for 1995 but was not seen until now; the illustrations are copyrighted 1990.

Authors include Esther M. Friesner & Walter J. Stutzman, Ed Gorman, Bruce Holland Rogers, and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough. Introduction by Lawrence Block. The editor’s introduction is by Douglas’s feline character, Midnight Louie, and approximately half the stories have animal narrators, or animals carrying on internal monologues.
