Aliens in the Family Margaret Mahy (Scholastic 0-590-40320-6, Aug ’86 [Jul ’86], $12.95, 174pp, hc) Young-adult sf novel of a boy’s visit to Earth from the future (and other dimensions), and his effect on a New Zealand family. More serious and sensitive than the plot might indicate (and also funny in the right places), this tale of children, divorce, and discovery is a pleasure for older readers too. Recommended.
