The Gormenghast Trilogy Mervyn Peake (Viking Overlook 0-87951-974-6, Aug ’88, $25.00, 1023pp, hc) [Gormenghast]; Fantasy omnibus, reprint of the famous “Titus Groan” series: Titus Groan (1946), Gormenghast (1950), and Titus Alone (1959, 1970). The first two have the text of the original editions; the third has the 1970 revised text (all originally Eyrie & Spottiswoode). All have the illustrations from the 1968 Ballantine edition. The introduction by Anthony Burgess is from the individual Overlook editions.
