  • Robert Jordan's The Path of Daggers (Wheel of Time Book 8) leads Amazon's SF list -- and its page has a ton of reader comments posted since early April -- even though the book's publication date isn't until October (or November).
  • Similarly, David Brin's Heaven's Reach is #10 on Amazon's SF list, though it's not yet been published.
  • Mary Doria Russell's Children of God has slipped off Amazon's 100 list and SF list but somehow ranks #21 on its Literature & Fiction list. Meanwhile, The Sparrow pb is still #3 on the SF list.
  • Raymond Feist Shards of a Broken Crown is #4 on Amazon's SF list, #26 on NYT.

  • Jared Diamond's Pulitzer-winning Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies ranks a surprising #11 on Amazon's Top 100 list.

  • Edward Yourdon's Time Bomb 2000 holds on at #49 on Amazon's Top 100.
  • Whitley Strieber's Confirmation: The Hard Evidence of Aliens Among Us is #11 on Amazon's Science & Nature (?!?) list.
