David and Leigh Edding’s The Redemption of Althalus remains for a third week the #1 bestselling hardcover fiction book in the UK (on two lists that exclude the YA Harry Potter books). Buzz Aldrin and John Barnes The Return (Tor) has been on the San Francisco Chronicle list for several weeks now, though it's never appeared on any other list. Robin McKinley's Spindle's End (Putnam) is #19 on the new NYT children's bestseller list, and Peter Straub's collection Magic Terror (Random House) is #13 on this week's LA Times list. The top four pre-publication titles at Amazon UK are all SF or fantasy this week. Forthcoming titles by Harry Turtledove, Robert E. Howard, and James Luceno appear on not-yet-published bestseller lists for the first time this week.
