Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett was the leader in the paperback category. New runner-up: Abarat by Clive Barker (HarperCollins). Nominees: 66, up slightly from 62.

Light by M. John Harrison and Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver tied for first place in the trade paperback category with Rosemary Kirstein's The Language of Power only a few points behind. New runner-up: Air by Geoff Ryman. Nominees: 54, up from 41.

Star Wars, the Next Generation: A Time to Heal had no close competition in the media-related category. Nominees: 23, steady from last month.

Forgotten Realms: The Lone Drow topped gaming-related titles for the fourth month straight. Nominees: 17, steady from last month.
