Eva Peter Dickinson (Gollancz 0-575-04354-7, Oct ’88 [Dec ’88], £8.95, 207pp, hc) Remarkable novel about a teenage girl whose personality is transferred to a chimpanzee after a fatal car crash and who must then learn to adapt to both human and chimpanzee societies. Possibly Dickinson’s best novel to date and certainly one of the best sf novels of 1988. Very strongly recommended. (PSP)
