Science Fiction and Postmodern Fiction: A Genre Study Barbara Puschmann-Nalenz (Peter Lang 0-8204-1670-3, Oct ’92 [Apr ’93], $49.95, 268pp, hc) Non-fiction, criticism. A study of the relationship between sf and postmodernism. Translation by the author of Science Fiction Und Ihre Grenzberieche (Corian 1986). This is a 1992 book not seen until now.


Saint Glinglin Raymond Queneau (Dalkey Archive Press 1-56478-027-9, Jun ’93, $19.95, 169pp, hc) Literary fantasy novel of patricide in a land where it never rains. Translated from the French and with an introduction by James Sallis, originally published by Gallimard in 1948.

Fugue Devil and Other Weird Horrors Stephen M. A biography of mathematician Eric Temple Bell, who also wrote sf under the pseudonym John Taine. It discusses both his published and unpublished fiction, and has a lot of previously unknown biographical data.
