Seeing Eye Jack Ellis (Zebra 0-8217-5077-1, Sep ’95 [Aug ’95], $4.99, 415pp, pb) Horror novel. An experimental operation lets a blind man see through the eyes of a guide dog, but he also sees visions of murder.


Harlan Ellison’s Dream Corridor Special Harlan Ellison (Dark Horse Comics, Feb ’95, $4.95, unpaginated, tp, cover by Stephen Hickman) Collection of five Ellison stories adapted by various authors and artists in comic-book format, plus the first part of a new prose story by Ellison (to be finished in the first regular issue of the Harlan Ellison’s Dream Corridor comic.) There is also considerable commentary by Ellison, presented in graphic form. A feast for Ellison fanatics, with artwork by Eric Shannower, Pat Broderick, Jill Bauman, Overton Lloyd, and Phil Foglio.


Harlan Ellison’s Dream Corridor Special Harlan Ellison (Dark Horse Comics 1-56971-084-8, Aug ’95 [Sep ’95], $4.95, unpaginated, tp, cover by Stephen Hickman) Reissue (Dark Horse 1995) collection of comic-book adaptations of Ellison stories. The first edition had no ISBN, and had a centerspread fold-out that is bound as two pages in this second edition. This edition also has the complete text of the originally serialized short story, “Midnight in the Sunken Cathedral”.


I, Robot: The Illustrated Screenplay Harlan Ellison & Isaac Asimov (SFBC #06445, Jan ’95, $11.98, 273pp, hc, cover by Mark Zug) [Robot Series] Reprint (Warner Aspect 1994) screenplay for “the greatest movie never made” with illustrations by Mark Zug. Packaged but not copyrighted by Byron Preiss Visual Publications. This is hardcover, but is otherwise similar to the Warner Aspect trade paperback, and even has the same ISBN on the back jacket, along with the SFBC number. However, unlike the Warner edition, this now has the illustrations facing the correct pages.
