This edition is revised and updated to include Memnoch the Devil, and has a previously unpublished short story by Rice that became Interview with the Vampire.

This is a 50th anniversary edition, following the revised 1946 US edition (Pamphleteers), with a new introduction and appendix by Leonard Peikoff. An appendix includes the original British edition, with Rand’s handwritten changes for American publication. A simultaneous Signet paperback edition (-18532-3) was announced but not seen.
