The Road to Science Fiction Volume 5: The British Way ed. James Gunn (White Wolf 1-56504-158-5, Feb ’98 [Mar ’98], $14.99, 622pp, tp) SF teaching anthology of 35 British SF stories, each with an introduction discussing its theme and period. Authors include H.G. Wells, Eric Frank Russell, Anthony Burgess, Arthur C. Clarke, and Tanith Lee. The preface by Gunn discusses the book’s history, and the difficulties of doing “an American view of the origins and development of British SF.”


The Road to Science Fiction Volume 6: Around the World ed.
