Locus Awards tickets are SOLD OUT!

Please join us for the Science Fiction Awards Weekend, June 24-26, 2011 in Seattle, WA. Tickets include Locus events on Saturday June 25, a free day-pass to the SF Museum, and special invitation to the Clarion West Party. The Locus events are followed by the Science Fiction Hall of Fame ceremony inducting Harlan Ellison, Gardner Dozois, Moebius, and Vincent Di Fate; seats for this event can be reserved via the EMP|SFM.

In addition, non-profit literary organization NW Media Arts is sponsoring special Awards Weekend writers workshops with Terry Bisson and Connie Willis at the nearby Richard Hugo House. Additional fees apply.* Click here to learn more.

Special room rates, $129 per night, will be available for Wednesday June 22 through Sunday June 26 at the Best Western Executive Inn, directly across the street from the Experience Music Project/SF Museum and the Seattle Center, at 200 Taylor Avenue North, Seattle WA 98109. For hotel reservations, call Joseph Ambler at (206) 674-6616 and mention the "Science Fiction Awards Group", or you may call the general number at 1(800) 351-9444. Reservations must be made by May 24, 2011 in order to secure the special rate. If you need to book additional days, please e-mail Locus or call us at (510) 339-9196 and we will arrange it for you.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday June 24

6:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Reading and autographing with Terry Bisson and Connie Willis in the Whidbey-Shaw Room at the Best Western Executive Inn, presented by NW Media Arts and University Book Store.

8:00 p.m.: Kick-off party hosted by Clarion West in honor of Paul Park, for Clarion West supporters, awards weekend ticket holders and special guests, in the Whidbey-Shaw Room at the Best Western Executive Inn.

Saturday June 25 - Locus Awards & SF Hall of Fame

10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.: "Comedy in Fiction" panel with Gardner Dozois, Terry Bisson, Connie Willis, and Gary K. Wolfe (moderator) at the Best Western Executive Inn.

10:55 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.: "The Near-Future World of Publishing" panel with Ellen Datlow, Nancy Kress, Mary Robinette Kowal, Paul Park, and Gary K. Wolfe (moderator) at the Best Western Executive Inn.

12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Autographing session with books available for purchase thanks to University Book Store. Participating autographers include Connie Willis, Nancy Kress, Mary Robinette Kowal, Jack Skillingstead, Gardner Dozois, Ellen Datlow, Bruce Taylor, and Eileen Gunn.

12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Locus Awards Lunch Banquet and Ceremony at the Best Western Executive Inn with M.C. Connie Willis, who will present the awards and judge the traditional Hawai'ian Shirt Contest.

4:30 p.m.: The Science Fiction Hall of Fame ceremony is currently scheduled to follow the Locus Awards, at the SF Museum, located at 325 5th Avenue North, Seattle WA 98109 (right across the street from the Best Western), inducting new Hall of Fame members Harlan Ellison, Gardner Dozois, Moebius, and Vincent Di Fate. RSVP to reserve seats to the Hall of Fame Ceremony by calling the EMP/SFM at (206) 770-2702.
